Tuesday & Thursday from 7:45 to 9:25 pm
Course Description:
4 hours (2, lecture; 2, lab), 3 credits. Introduction to electronic commerce. Designing an E-commerce site including web page content and development, site marketing and advertisement, legal and security considerations, shopping cart management, credit card and other debit transactions.
- Prerequisite: CIS 228 or (CIS 211 and CIS 166)

Course Objectives:
At the end of this course students will be able to:
- Understand e-commerce concepts, and the processes and management decisions that are involved in launching, operating and managing business activity on the World Wide Web.
- Use of Apache Web server, PHP, MySQL, and Zen cart
- Develop store catalog, set taxation, shipment options, payment options and advertisement
- Backup Database

Announcements for quizzes, assignments and homework will be given during class time and with the use of the website. The website will be updated weekly, so please check often for announcements. It is recommended that you purchase a flash drive. It saves much more work that the average floppy drive, and connects through the USB port on most CPU.
